Cheeseburger Week 2016 is coming in to Pasadena in January.

Cheeseburger Week, which runs Jan. 10-15, honors Lionel Sternberger’s genius in being the first to put cheese to hamburger and serve it at the Rite Spot in Pasadena in 1924.

Forty of Pasadena’s favorite restaurants, lounges and burger joints will offer their signature burgers, some special creations and a deals during Pasadena Cheeseburger Week. Green Street Restaurant, El Portal, La Grande Orange, Lucky Baldwin’s, Cameron’s Seafood and a/k/a Bistro are among the restaurants that will be participating.

Special creations from the dusitD2 Constance Pasadena hotel, Dog Haus and Central Park also will be on tap.

Burger lovers can vote for their favorites in the Cheeseburger Challenge. Plan to come to Pasadena for a Cheeseburger Crawl and take the Cheeseburger Challenge.
