Dog Haus: Stuffing Pasadena with Seasonal Flavors

PASADENA LIVING — Dog Haus: Stuffing Pasadena with Seasonal Flavors

Stop by local Biergarten for some exclusive Thanksgiving specials

Calling all Thanksgiving non-traiditionalists! Love the idea of a turducken (a chicken stuffed into a duck stuffed into a turkey) and want to take it one step further?

Dog Haus just broke the barrier with their new sausage, the Plymouth Rockwürst. The sausage features smoked turkey, chicken and duck with fresh sage, rosemary, thyme, whiskey-soaked cranberries, and yams; and is topped off with apple cranberry mostarda, sweet potato tots and sausage gravy on grilled King’s Hawaiian rolls.

The dog is being dubbed the “Plymouth Rockwürst” and was developed by the Dog Haus’ culinary team, which includes Culinary Director Michael Brown and their “Würstmacher” aka “sausage-maker” Adam Gertler.

The feast doesn’t stop there (although, that one dog sounds like a feast of its own!).  Dog Haus is also offering a selection of other seasonal recipes, like sweet potato tots, a butter pecan shake, Gradma’s Pecan Beer by The Dude’s Brewing Company, and a bourbon drink called the Old Musket, available exclusively at the Pasadena location.

The Old Musket Cocktail is made with bourbon whiskey, chocolate bitters, and a blend of nut flavored liqueur. Then, Dog Haus garnishes the masterpiece with a pecan sugar rim, an orange zest and a cinnamon stick, with a mist of maple syrup bitters.

While we’re pretty sure we’d be ok eating these tasty specials all year, they’re only available through the end of November.  Christmas is already elbowing its way in– savor the season while you can!

Dog Haus is located at 105 N. Hill Ave., Pasadena.  For more information, please call (626) 577-4287 or visithttp://www.doghaus.com
