Hot Dog Month

Dog Haus is currently hosting its 2nd annual hot dog eating contest. Ten contestants who qualified on June 26 will come back to Dog Haus on Saturday, July 5, to eat as many hot dogs as they can in competition to become the 2014 Haus Champion. The winner will receive a trophy and $300 cash prize, as well as Dog Haus and Brewery giveaways. Prior to the competition on July 5, guests can enjoy live music from Past Action Heroes, sample brews from local craft breweries, watch the FIFA World Cup Quarterfinal matches on the seven large flat screen televisions, or partake in giant Jenga and a beer stein holding contest. The fun starts at 9 a.m. with the FIFA World Cup match, followed at 2 p.m. with local breweries handing out beer. The hot dog eating competition starts at 4 p.m., and the victor will be crowned by 4:15 p.m. From 5 p.m. to midnight, a DJ will provide music, and guests can enjoy games. 98 E.
