Dog Haus To Open Restaurant In Santa Ana, California On November 22

Acclaimed Gourmet Hot Dog Concept to Open Location in Mile High City in 2014

Santa Ana, CA (November 22, 2014) - Dog Haus, the celebrated Pasadena-based concept known for its gourmet hot dogs, sausages, burgers, and one-of-a-kind creations, will be opening a franchise location in Santa Ana, California on Saturday, November 22. Located at the Westfield MainPlace Mall at 2800 N. Main Street the restaurant from franchisee Ryan Welch will be the 7th location of the emerging brand, which was originally founded by Partners André Vener, Hagop Giragossian and Quasim Riaz in 2010 to recapture the nostalgic childhood experience of eating a hot dog. To commemorate its arrival in the area, Welch will be inviting locals to swing by the Haus for a free hot dog on opening day.

As part of that introduction to the community, guests will be able to swing by from 11 am - 10 pm on Saturday, November 22nd to enjoy a free hot dog from a selection of Dog Haus' classic all-beef skinless dog offerings, all served up on grilled King's Hawaiian rolls. Options will include the cult favorite Haus Dogs Sooo Cali with arugula, tomato, crispy onions, spicy basil aioli and avocado; the Downtown Dog featuring a smoked bacon wrapped dog topped with caramelized onions, sautéed bell peppers, mayo, mustard, and ketchup; and The Cowboy with white American cheese, smoked bacon, bbq sauce, and crispy onions.

To pair with their dogs, diners can order fare from Dog Haus' full menu, which is rounded out with gourmet sausages, burgers, corn dogs, and sides -- each prepared with the highest quality ingredients. Haus Sausages include The Fonz with spicy Italian sausage, pastrami and melted mozzarella; while Another Night in Bangkok features a spicy thai red currywurst sausage, peanut sauce, crunchy asian slaw, and crushed peanuts. Haus Burgers run the gamut from the trademarked The Freiburger® with white american cheese, a fried egg, haus slaw, fries and mayo; to the Holy Aioli with white american cheese, caramelized onions, smoked bacon, and garlic aioli. Ambitious diners can also opt to build their own dog, sausage or burger with the wide array of accoutrements available.

Lighter eaters and kids can indulge in smaller-sized portions – the Dog slider is made with an all-beef mini dog, haus-made cheese sauce, shredded cheddar and bacon; the Burger slider has just the right amount of caramelized onions, white american cheese, and mayo; while the Corn Dog slider features an all-beef mini dog dipped in haus-made root beer batter. Equal attention is paid to the quality-driven sides, like Chili Cheese Tots or fresh-cut, twice-fried Fries with haus-made cheese sauce, cheddar, haus chili, and diced onions and beer-battered Onion Rings. Our premium desserts including shakes & malts, soft serve, and cookies are a must have to end on a sweet note.

To complement the main offerings, diners can select from wine and a thoughtful list of beers available on tap as well as canned (coming soon this winter). The restaurant will boast four craft drafts with a heavy emphasis on local breweries including Cismontane Brewing Company, Nobel Ale Works, and The Bruery going by the pint. Canned beers like Moose Drool, Pabst Blue Ribbon and The Dudes will be served up in koozies – a nod to backyard summer BBQs.

The fast-casual concept, designed to elevate the nostalgic experience of eating that quintessential hot dog or burger, carries that nostalgia over to the aesthetic and design of the modern industrial space. After ordering at the counter, diners can gather around communal tables or at cozier tables made from wood and steel that span the perimeter of the 2,000 square-foot restaurant. Striking red and black accents and playful expressions such as "The Absolute Wurst" and "Sweet Buns" peppered throughout the restaurant enliven both interior and canopied outdoor seating area, which is dotted with twenty-four black chairs and seven black tables made from perforated metal, and boasts a 40 foot façade, bringing a modern sensibility to the classic concept.
